Hey all,

I'm pretty dead set on getting 265/70/17 goodyear duratracs for my 2010 JK sport, but I'm wondering which load rating I need. I see a lot of people say they got the "C" rating, but the one's I'm looking at are 115S. Keep in mind that the 115S are about $50 cheaper per tire than the "C" rating!

I figure the 115S would be fine for my jeep given that I'm running 225/75/16 that are only 104S.

Any advice would be great!

I think you are confusing two different ratings. Pretty sure the "S" is the speed rating. The "C" you are referring to is the load rating. I just put duratracs on 2012 JKU last week in 255/75/17. So far I like them. I changed them because my 2.5 yr old goodrich MT's had horrible wet traction. NJ got pummeled with rain over the last week and the duratracs were a nice improvement. I went with simpletire.com to order my set of 4. I found nobody else that came close to their price. I wanted to deal with tirerack but they were about $100 more and would not match simpletires price.

I LOVE my Duratracs, they simply are the tits. I have the 33's but I got the LT (Light Truck) rating because I knew I'd be adding bumpers a winch and eventually a roof rack. I know its overkill but with as light as my tires are I can probably get 60K+ miles outta them.
Oh and if you are wondering yes the 33's rub at full turn. I could get spacers but ehhh doesn't bother me so much.

Ok, this rating is confusing me. When I bought mine last week in the OEM size of 255/75/17, there is no option of different speed ratings, or load ratings. Goodyears website doesn't show any options, at least not in the OEM size.

I ran into the same thing they inlet listed load range when I went into the LT style other than that just speed rating were posted

I still think you will be ok, but this is a nice read on the difference of a "P" rated vs. "LT" rated. Also, going from the 104S to the 115S. you are going up in load capacity.

My stock P255/75/17 (Wrangler SR-A) are rated 113S. I've beat on them some (nothing crazy). so far they've held up.
