Default Goodyear Tire Warranty

Anyone had a warranty replacement on the Goodyear SR-A tires? Mine are the 32" tires that came stock. My wife got a flat today, a big piece of metal right in the middle between the treads. That would be a great place for a plug, but the hole is pretty big.

Is that even covered under Goodyear's warranty? The tires are cheap, only about $80 from the tirerack.com but I really hate to waste money since I'm wanting some good ATs a little while down the road anyway. The stock tires are absolute crap in my opinion, horrible in mud, and obviously not very puncture resistant. This is the earliest I've ever had a puncture on a tire (less than 6K).

I would just plug it, use it for my spare and hope for the best, but with these tires flats may be a regular occurence so I hate to take the chance if I'm likely to use the spare. Then again, I hate to spend $80 plus dollars when I'm wanting to get a whole new set soon anyway.

Any tire that comes with a new vehicle from the mfg has VERY little warranty IF ANY. The only thing that could help is if you got the tire/wheel protection program.

Find what you ran over it, do it to the rest of the tires!

Come back report where said object is, so that I can do the same!

You're right. They're actually 255/75-17. Thanks for pointing that out.

I ended up just getting another OEM tire locally. Hole was way too big to be plugged and not covered under warranty, big surprise there.

My wife ran over a metal shank! She pulled into the driveway and I could hear the air leaking out and it went flat in about 30 seconds.

255/75/r17 do measure 32 inches. You should be able to have a tire shop boot the tire. I hade 1500 miles on mine when I got a big hole in it. My locale tire shop put a boot in the tire and I now have 14,000 mile and no trouble.
