Default Grille bra

As anyone used the grille bra during long trips to protect the radiator from rocks, bugs etc. did it cause moisture to build up under the clear coat?

Im planing a trip an would like yo put it on the grille.

You are going to get rocks and dirt and sand and water behind it....it will do more harm than leaving it off..IMHO of course.....

Highway trip to Florida , i never use one before but I'm concern about rocks hitting the radiator thats why i wanted to put one on just for this trip.
But i read somewhere that when it rains you have to take it off if not it would damage your paint.

I would think bugs would get thru the gutter guards, The grille bra has a tin mesh. Just my opinion i don have either or right now.

I have the same opinion. Everyone I've seen has moisture/dust/crap stuck between the fabric and the paint which just leads to rubbing from the vibrations and the wind and ruins the paint. In our case it doesn't cause rust since the grille is plastic, but it still scratches the crap out of it.

So it will damage the paint if i leave it on for a long time? I will put it on for 10 hrs for my trip to Florida then i will take it off, based on what i have read i should be ok right?
