Default Half door removal

Want to take the doors completely off, there is a wire for the door shut function. I've tried squeezing the bottom but it still doesn't disconnect. This is the first time I've tried to remove the doors.
Help!

There is a red locking tab that needs to be slid over. Then you can press the button that releases the connector.

It's a Torx but I can't remember off hand the size...20 maybe? I took mine off and left them off after I removed the doors a couple of times. They are a pain.

Torx bit 50. If you are talking about the outside hinge. :-) 20 is like 5mm ;-)

Don't forget to lube the door pins while they are off or you'll be tuggin' and tuggin' when road junk gets in the hinge. Some folks have made teflon sleeves to keep the doors from getting stuck.

Where do you put the sleeve down the hinge or over the bar that slides down it?

Leave teh plastic black sleeve inside the hinge!! Its kinda worthless in the first place, much like the hex nuts you have to take off to get teh door off. I'd say 99% of the people on here have taken off the hex nut and threw them away-myself included. As for the "lube"-the best thing to do is go to your auto parts store and get some Lithium grease. Shoot that down in the hinge when the doors are off. It will make things nice and easy when put the doors back on-so to speak.
