Ok, 07-10 tops are the same but the freedom panels are different. 11-12 tops are the same
So let's start with freedom panels
07-08 the center latch is the same, does not latch to the windshield tie down.
09-12 the center latch is the same. Ties down to the windshield tie down ( above the mirror)
Little difference in seals and drip rails
Now the back halfs
07-10 are the same, they have smaller windows.
11-12 are the same, they have larger windows.
Now you can install an earlier top to a later jeep with no modification, but to go from a later top to an earlier body you need to remove the rear locating pins and it drops right on.
They are all the same size overall, and all the parts are interchangable. Just make sure that if it's freedom panels you get L and R. The windows are the same ( small to small, large to large) so this means you can mix and match the freedom panels with back half of the top.
I'm running 07-08 freedom panels with a 11-12 back half on a 09. It all fits on my jeep and aligns up.
