has anyone painted or seen a hard top painted other than black

they remind me a lot of those mercedes g classes when the top is painted.

reason i am asking this is because i put a huge scratch and chp in mine. I went to a body shop today and they said that painting it white to match the car will not look good. they said it looks like orange peel. If someone knows anyone in San Diego that can paint this and make it look good let me know

My dealer in Naperville Il. (doesn't help you in California) does it and it looks ok. It looks like it's been painted over rhinoliner but that is the texture of the top anyway. I agree with pj37 that it gives it a hardtop permanent look. I have the Jeep Green and I wish I had the kahki interior and I would probably contrast it with a kahki colored top. So I guess I'm saying a nice contrast would work and unless you're really picky the orange peel texture it is not a big deal as that's the way the top is.

Painting it will make it look different then a Honda Element.

There were a few at sema I think last year I think one was silver if
I remember correct. I did not like it at all though I think it
Takes away from the look of the jeep and makes it to uniform looking
But that's just my opinion. I would rino line that bad boy if anything

Have you looked into the Duplicolor truck bed liner in a can? That stuff sticks to anything and goes on thick.
