How many alignment pins are on are 2011 4dr freedom hard top?? Tried a post yesterday with no response, could have been my wording called them Guide Pins. Anyway I have 5, seems like there is 1 missing from the factory I think..

 

humm no idea i just slide it into place and put the 8 bolts in

 

Same here had no problem, but it seemed odd that there was one on the passenger side and none on the other

 

I have 4 on the main back section but I had to remove two. I have a 2010 but the top was 2011. There there are 1 on each freedom panel.

 

I am talking about the main back section, not the panels. Have four on the rear where the 6 bolts go, and there is one near where the bolts go on the top on the passenger side and none on the drivers side....

 

5 or 6 alignment pins??? Anybody know??

 

The 2011 Hardtop I bought had 4 unless the original owner removed any before I bought. 1 each side towards the rear doors where the door surround goes for the soft top. Then there was on each side on the rear just before the top recesses in the corners.
I had to remove these as they do not line up with the holes on a 2010 jeep.
Then there are the 6 bolts in the back and 2 above the sound bar.

I have 5 alignment pins, there are 4 in the back where the 6 bolts go, 2 on each side just like you mentioned. There is one on the passenger side above the sound bar close to the hole where the other 2 bolts go, but none on the other side, and that seems odd to me seeing that there is a hole there for a alignment pin to go,but no other pin on the hard top. I would post some pic's but I am at work for another week.

 

I'm under the impression there is a differance between the 2010 & 2011 hardtops. I'm learning this because I'm shopping gor a Roof Rack and many of them say, Will Not Work ON 2011's.

 

So this is the top that was on the Jeep when you bought and you bought it new?
It sounds like you are missing some hardware on this thing.
