Thanks.
Iv seen the ad for those and it looks like they are applied with a peel and stick
type application.
Thats what the velcro I tried was and it held until it got really hot and down it
came.

I had the Hot Head insulation mats held up with Velcro. When it got much above 85 degrees, the Velcro let go and down they came. A real pita when I had passengers in the back seat. Hard to explain too. Who makes the Boom Mats? Any photos? Any personal experience in hot conditions. One good thing about the Velcro version, you could reattach them without much problem. What do you do on the trail if the glue fails on the Boom Mats?

Not sure what the glue is on the boom mats but when they are stuck they are stuck. Put them on early last year and they made it through 120 days of over 100 degree temperatures here in Texas. The temperature in the jeep had to be alot more. The mats are still stuck securely to the top. Make sure and clean the surfaces well with alcohol before applying.

I can not imagine that tbhe glue on the boom mats will fail any time soon. They went through one of the hottest years on record last year and they still are holding on tight. When the back of the mats barely comes in contact with the roof it was stuck and could not be repositioned. So when installing them make sure you have the right where you want them because you can not pull them back off.
