Default Hard top reinstall

I bought my wife a 2013 jkur 4 weeks ago. My question is about the hard top install the top does not leak but it looks like there is a pinched gasket in the middle of the roof and one of the front panels looks out quit a bit up by the windshield. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have a pinched gasket and one of your front panels is out there. Did you have a question? Have any pictures? Warranty should cover on a '13.

Ok I worked with the top but still didn't line up correctly. Did notice that the 2 bolt that go in the soundboard weren't even in they were in the console. Seems odd to me that the top was dry as a bone.

The two big, plastic knobbed ones? I haven't had mine in since the Jeep was new--that would be over seven years. Nary a leak, yet.

google freedom panel removal/install and take a look at it. im guessing they didnt save you the card that tells you the order to take them off and put them back on, if you do it in order you avoid gasket issues for the mostpart. use of the long bolts depends on if your top leaks when they arent in or not since they just tighten the seal between the back part and the freedoms. basically you drop in the passenger half, then the driver half, make sure they line up and look good, snap down the latches at the sun visors, put the bolts in now if you are going too, then flip the twisting handles into position, passenger side first then driver. this should avoid any gasket bulges. enjoy the convertable!

I'll have to try leaving mine off Mark... That's the hardest part in removing and replacing the tops...

Thanks for the tip!
