Default hard top to soft top on my X help

I'm about to buy a used soft top from someone locally and I own an 07 Unlimited X. When I asked the seller if it came with all the parts they said that it came with their Sahara model and it was never used. (The seller says they haven't a clue what all the parts are for and if it's complete) What are the main parts I need to look for besides door surrounds so I can run this on my X? I know when I bought a used soft top for my TJ, I had to order these metal plates that attached to the roll bar and a tailgate bar. These things ran me an another $200 bucks. If I have to spend that much, I'm going to negotiate more on the price.

Thanks for the reply folks. When i went to look at the top this morning it was pretty well used but all the parts seem to be there. i was able to talk them down to $300 so I bought it. The back window is pretty ugly b/c it has some sticker residue on it and the plastic is super wrinkled for some reason. I'm gonna try to clean it up with some goo gone or alcohol. I'm wondering if it won't straighten out once the weather gets warmer . If anyone has any suggestions on how to clean that sticker stuff off without harming the window please advise. thanks again.

Why can't sellers be honest? When you show up you obviously are going to see the condition of the item you are buying.

If there are actual creases in the plastic window, those won't ever staighten out. If they are just kinda "groovy", the heat will help in mellowing them out.

Do be careful what you use on those plastic windows as others have mentioned.

Not sure if this will help with sticker residue but I use Plexus to clean my soft windows. I works great, even helps hide any small scratches and is perfectly safe to use on soft windows. I used to use this when I was working in the aviation field and it worked great on thin aircraft windows.
