Default Hard Tops

What is different about the 2009 and newer hard tops from the 2007-2008? I just bought a 2009 for my 2007 jeep and the front left panel seems to be missing part of what holds it down in the front middle. Anyone know??

What part ya missin' exactly? The middle lever, or the flip lock latch? The Loop up front favors the drivers side moreso up to 2008. My buddy is going through the same thing with his 2010 top on his 08. it fits and all but that front midddle needs "Loop Meat" to catch. Prolly end up fabbin a loop extension from some steel rod and tack it up.

Its the "L" shaped black plastic lever that has nothing to latch onto... Front middle on the driver side panel. It allows the panel to stick up just slightly... no leak but i can hear the wind whistle.

I'll do a seach!

Yup that is what he is battling. Maybee he will chime in but it seems that the loop position had changed at one point through the years. Funnier still is I am curious to see if the loop is welded in there or is screwed in from the back.

im having the same problem, seems 07 and 08 loop is dead center. 09 and up the loop is about 2'' toward drivers side . loop has to be removed and shifted over. havent done it to mine yet but going to have to or just get 07-08 front panels.
