Default hard wiring accessories and dash removal

i have a radar/laser detector, XM head unit, and GPS unit that i would like to hard wire into the outlet (one that turns off when the car does)
Questions:

A) can i hard wire all 3 to the outlet or is that too much??
B) has anyone removed the dash to get to that section?? if so, what is the process so i do not break anything.

thanks!

I believe if you go to JK Electronics and Sound Systems there is a thread in there that may answer some questions... But I bet if you use the search feature at the top of the page... throw in a few keywords you will get most of your questions answered. I am thinking about doing the same thing....

I would think those 3 units would have a very low current draw and would all run off the same circuit with no problem.
