Hartop , soft top ,bikini top, I want a quick to convert topless jeep
I usually use the Bestop bikini top for light rain during the summer (I don't really care much getting wet)... with doors off (or tube half doors), the bikini top doesn't really do much though... especially with bigger tires (all the road splash gets inside).
It seems like there's a new product: Pavement Ends Emergency Jeep Soft Top. It looks like the quickest way to cover the JK.

I find that the soft top is a PIA the first time or two that you deal with it, but now it's up and on in a min. or two, and the side windows too.
Biggest hassle is the zipper on the rear window at the corners. Damn thing barely gets on. If it rains quick I just put up the top and strap on the sail panels. Usually those downpours don't last too long.
Cheers.

I just removed the hard top & mounted the soft folding top back on my JK for the summer. However, if I purchase the duster, it appears that I must remove the folding top again. Is that ABSOLUTELY necessary? Or can I fold down my top & use the duster simutaneously?
The top will not go down into the tub of the JK deep enough. The duster connects to the belt rail, the same way your soft top does! I have the Bestop bikini, duster, and windjammer. The duster is great ( water only puddles up when parked ), The bikini as long as you are connected to the door frames ( not the roll bar ) does not leak, and the jammer ( well it's ok )! I really would like to see/ hear the difference of the wraparound windjammer peeps. This one connects to the soundbar cap as opposed to strapping to the soundbar and leaving a 2 inch gap on top. Hope that helps somewhat, I live in So Cal so our rain is drizzle to you....

The only thing I can say is Good Luck.
Ours is a sot top 4dr, and I understand about the top. As a matter of fact, I believe it's easier to remove the top then to take it down and fold it.
That being the case I purchased a Best Top bikini and trail duster through Quadratec. I remove the factory soft top in the summer and use the bikini and most times the duster to cover the rear cargo area. In addition I purchased a trail cover. We strictly use the bikini top in the summer along with the the trail duster. This works great and the bikini is easy to remove and store. When it looks like rain or the forecast calls for it, we put the trail cover over the bikini and duster. it works out great as it only takes about 5 minutes to install the trail cover. I've never used the trail cover in a rainstorm without the bikini or duster, but with, I've never had a problem with flooding.

I drive fast to avoid getting wet! rain will go over you when you do like 20mph and more. But I do hear you, I have Bestop safari top and I hate it! I think it is the biggest POS made. I'm actually looking at Wade top but I have other things i need to buy before I spend that kind of money.
