Our 07 driver side cracked at 42000. The dealer replaced it under warranty!

I replaced driver side header last night.
It had two cracks, one visible from under and the other I found after removing shield.

Just thought I'd mention another problem I had. After replacing both exhaust manifolds, I still heard a leaking exhaust. Tightened everything I could. Mentioned it a few times. Finally, I had a really bad oil leak and the motor was weak. 34,000miles and about 2 days before my 3,36K expired I dropped it off at the dealer. What we thought was a blown head gasket turned out to be a cracked intake manifold.

I just tried taking off the heat shield to check mine, since I hear a hissing/ticking noise when the engine is hot, but couldn't get the manifold bolts that go into the head to budge. Is there a trick to getting them off? I don't want to push it and snap one of those bolts

I sprayed the bolts with a generous amount of wd-40 and let them sit for a while. Came off no problem.

We have a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited and the drivers side exhaust manifold cracked at ~88k. Pretty straight foward fix.

Default Hissing...ticking

My hearing is not what it used to be, but my wife is complaining about a ticking/hissing sound also.. Ours is a 09 model....It appears that most people on here have 07's. Anybody with an 09-10 model have this manifold crack? I'm gonna pull the heat shield for the heck of it...

My 2007 only has 26,000 miles and my left manifold is comprehensively cracked. Trying to decide between repair it or replacing it.

What a pain.

I have an 09 and mine cracked. The dealer order it under warranty but wanted to charge to install it due to the full Riverraider skid and air tank that they said were in the way. Dealer is giving me the new manifold to install.....just have to bring the cracked one back or they will charge my card.

Had the same problem. Instead of putting in another manifold that is prone to cracking, but not being able to swing a full set of RIPP long-tubes, I ended up going with a set of JBA titanium ceramic headers. Definitely runs better now.
