just flick your lite switch to ''off'' a second time as your turn them off. That overrides the timer feature.....It becomes second nature after a few times!I believe the ''theatre'' lighting time interval can be adjusted by the small stalk adjustment ring that controls the display briteness- you can have one or the other as the ring changes both with the same setting.

Do the sahara models have the headlight timer and radio timer adj. from the convenience center? You know where the oil change reminder/message center.. the wifes liberty is adjustable by going into this while the vehicle is not running and key on.. like when you reset the oil change reminder..

I thought my headlight delay feature was busted but after reading this I went out and tried turning the lights off after shutting the Jeep off and the delay worked. Apparently I've been unconsciously turning them off first.

I had searched in the owners manual for something about this and didn't find it. Was planning to mention it the next time I went in for any warranty work, glad I found this thread... they'd though I was wacko.
