Is ur remote start factory? I had an aftermarket viper remote start and had 2 aux buttons. I had the installer mark the 2 aux power wires at the control box for me to power stuff later. Maybe u can find out if your remote start has an aux power output and run it to your heated seats. Or just turn on ur heater full blast before u get out the night before. Remote start ur jeep in the morning to warm up and it should be plenty hot by the time u get in

I have the factory remote start and the factory leather seats to aid in cleaning up after the kid and dog. The seats are cold no matter how long the engine runs. Was just hoping that there may have been any easy solution but there never is with all the computer crap they put in a vehicle these days.

I have the heated seats and LOVE them. They dont take long at all to warm up. I do have the cloth seat tho. Unless there is frost on the windows I dont even use the Remote start because the seats warm up so fast.

My rear defroster does come on with the remote and I did notice this morning the change in fan speeds when I opened the door.

My '11 Grand Cherokee activates the seat heaters, steering wheel heater, and the defroster. Shame they couldn't do it in the JK. They've wussified it this much why not keep going.

My wife and I have been trying to confirm for a couple weeks now if when you use the remote start not only do the rear/mirror defroster come on automatically but the vents come on as well. I have just been turning the defroster on at night before I shut off the Jeep for the night. But there have been times when I didn't do that and it sounded like the blower was running. Seemed like they were shutting off when I unlocked the doors. Now I know for sure it is happening. Yeah First World Problems. LOL

I have a 2012 and the rear defrost turns on as well as the vents with the factory remote start. I have been spoiled with the remote start. Parking outside since I don't fit in the garage is a bear in the winter.

I have a 2012 as well and the heated seats did come on with the remote start but only for the first winter. Now this winter they don't. At first I thought it wasn't cold enough bit as it started to get cooler they still have not come on again. I am a little disappointed because it was nice to have that feature was it just a glitch in my system or does the system actually have the option to have them come on with the starter?

My jeep is a 2012 as well and for the first winter the seats turned on with the remote starter but now this winter it doesn't. At first I thought is wasn't cold enough but now that it's a lot colder it still doesn't come on. Was it just a glitch in my system or is there actually an option in the computer that can be turned on or off that allows the seats to turn on with the remote start?

2013 JKU Sahara. Remote kicks on the fans and defrosters, but not the heated seats. My seats are cloth and they heat up before I get two blocks down the road when I do it manually. Good enough for me. It's been cold so far this Winter, and I'm glad I have the seat heaters to help with my back injury.

Rubicon01 you are the first to mention that your heaters came on upon remote start. Maybe the glitch will come back for you. Stay warm.
