HELLLPPP!! Dana 44?
Just one more clarification. The GVWR includes the tongue weight of your trailer, too. So to see if you are within the rating, you have to take the fully loaded weight of your vehicle, including gas, passengers, stuff loaded inside and then add the tongue weight of the trailer. If all that added together is less than GVWR, then you're legal. Of course, you should be a little bit below that for a safety margin.
GCWR is the combined weight of your fully loaded vehicle (vehicle, passengers, fluids, stuff - but NOT including tongue weight for this calculation) plus the fully loaded weight of your trailer (trailer weight, fluids, added accessories, anything packed inside). If you add all that together and it's less than the GCWR, you're legal. And, you should be a little bit below that for a safety margin.
To be legal, you have to meet both of these criteria (plus a few others, like front and rear axle weight ratings and trailer axle weight rating).
You'll often find people just ignoring this stuff. It's foolish to not take it seriously. It IS a safety issue for you, your passengers and others on the road. And, if you are involved in an accident and your vehicle is "illegal" you may be liable, even criminally.

The GVWR is the JK itself and whats packed inside. Your Tow rating and your Combined GVWR will include the trailer.
Is 3200lbs the "gross" weight (trailer loaded), or weight empty? (trailer empty). If your gross is 3200, then I would guess the trailer weight to be about 2200-2500lbs. If your trailer actually weighs 3200lbs, and then you load it with more stuff---- I will warn you- it will be heavy for the JK.
I hope I wasnt too confusing!
