Default Help with Beeping

i just bought a new 09 X that I am going to use as a hunting car on a ranch. i need some help getting rid of all the beeping. I don't want this thing to ever beep even if it is about to enter hyperspace with the Empire in hot pursuit. Here is what I have so far:

- Door beep with key in ignition...fixed this one by disconnecting the doors. I'm going to take them off anyway

- Seat belt dinger #1. This is the one that comes on intermittantly that you can fix with the procedure in the manual. Done, I think.

- Seat Belt dinger #2 This is the 5 beeps when you start up. I understand that you can jump the wires under the seat but I am a little wary of cutting airbag wires. Does anyone know if just plugging a seatbelt extender in will work.

- TPMS I swapped the stock useless wheels/tires out for a Rubicon take off set but they didn;t come with the sensors. I still have the old wheels with sensors. How hard/expensive is it to change them? Otherwise I'll just buy the AEV gadget to reprogram it

- Are there any others that I need to get rid or?

What a nuisance

Thanks

Just find and disconnect the beeper itself may be quicker. If you leave your blinker on too long and are driving straight it'll beep to let you know.

I agree with the previous post, though. Just find the beeper and unplug it.

You might mention this to your dealer. This is a very valid reason to want a "no beeper" and there may be something they can do program wise that will shut it up. You never know til you ask.

If you unplug the seat belt under the drivers seat and plug in a mini fuse into the plug it also tricks it into thinking the seat belt is on. But would love to find that damn dinger myself!!

Default Ringer

I also got annoyed with what seems like constant ringing, if not for one thing, its another. The beeper is actually attached to the back of the circuit board. It is about 1 inch, round, black , and I believe soldered to the circuit board itself. You have to remove the instrument cluster and the then the back of the cluster itself and you will see it. In the middle of the beeper is a hole. What I did on both my '06 Rubicon and '09 Sahara is to fill the beeper hole with silicone and let it sit for a while. Now, you barely can hear the beep at all and it sure is not annoying anymore.
