If you did from standing / upright position then you were loosening the bolts correctly.
I would say....remove the Hinges from the body....enjoy your doorless ride (cool off), then get back to working the Bolts when you have the energy again.
I hope you meant RIGHTY-TIGHTY and LEFTY-LOOSEY, but your way is much more hilarious!
And I think your right... Relax. Take another approach. And as someone here mentioned, at least see what the dealer may do for you. Some guys are cool and some aren't.
Sometimes it isn't the dealer, as it may be the Service Advisor is just a dink! Try another Advisor another day or even the Manager. Or just catch a Technician in the shop and see if they'll help you. I've been an Assistant Service Manager for a few years and even I have had bad times at different dealers. Don't give up!

Thanks for the input guys. I am going to head to Mount Zion tomorrow and see if Mike can give me a hand. Maybe just cut it off and order two new hinges since the pin broke inside the other nut anyway.

For now it is a for me while I write a 10 page paper for my grad class due tomorrow morning at 9 AM

Yup...I meant to have a little fun with the guy. Ofcourse Lefty-Loosey and Righty-Thighty (if you're under looking up).

And as you said..try again with the dealership.
