I have an terrible rattle/squeak in the dash. I've had the dash apart pulled the radio and still can't find it. I notice it more on warmer days (55-75 degrees) or once the cabin gets warm.

It sounds like it is coming from the dashboard, more on the driver's side.

Any thoughts, this rattle is kiling me!

Are you positive it is the dash, and not the sun visor? My drivers side sun visor creaks. It's a quiet creak, and drives me crazy. I'm constantly smaking the visor to gain some temporary relief.

 

I thought I saw a thread hear about this. I believe it actually originates from behind the hood cowl.

 

What is the hood cowl? How do I get in there to look for the squeak?

That is where my sound was coming from, a squeaking sound,not a rattle.

 

I believe they call the sheet metal panel that is located between the hood and the windshield. the panel with the louvers cut into it? the one that wont come off unless u pull the windshield wiper arms??? that panel.

 

Here's another good thread on common rattles... check them all, I had 3 isues...

I had hood cowl vent rubbing, A pillar bolts loose, Windshield bracket bolts loose and needed a fiber washer.
