Look at the steering stabilizer, drag link and all attaching hardware. Something is either loose or bent, or both.

Check the drag link, the tie-rod ends, and everything else that affects your steering.
Pitman arm to drag link to right tire, right tire to left tire.
Steering stabilizer is most likely not it.

Might as well check the trackbar.

Read the write-up above to see what we are talking about.

Man... if I was you I wouldn't re-center that wheel until I found what tilted it. As others stated something is either loose or bent. You may just be covering up a real problem that you will find at 70mph. If something is just bent a little chances are you can just just adjust the wheel back, but if something is loose or broken it could be bad. your steering wheel didn't just say "I think I will try something new"

just got back from the garage, out the jeep on a jack, looked under, nothing seems bent, he says something has to be bent, but he cant tell what... nothing looks like it going to break.

so my question is is it ok to center the steering, and will the esp/bas light go if i do?
