Help with starting issue
I am first off wanting to thank all of you willing to help. M y grandaughters 2011 Liberty is having an intermittant starting issues . Three mechanics could not find the problem. We did find a work around but not a fix.
Every so often you turn the key and get a click only. That prompted me to install a new starter but problem continued. Then we found bypassing the relay started the car. OK so we swapped relays and problem continued. Finally we worked around it by running a fused wire from the battery to the starter with an intermittant switch placed under the dash.If ignition just clicks she pushes the button and it will start. Would like to find the cause if any ideas out there Thanks

With the JK Wranglers, the click-no-start issue is most often fixed by running an additional ground wire from the battery negative terminal to one of the alternator mount bolts.
The new wire should be the same size as the normal ground wire on the battery.
Give it a try and see if it works on the Liberty.
