Default Help with Torque Spec

Does anyone know what the torque spec is for the brake lines to the caliper? I snugged them up and still had leaks. Then snugged some more and twisted the bolt! Do the brass washers need to be replaced? They don't seem to be working too well. Thanks!

Yes you have to replace the crush washers! They crush when you tighten them. I had to go pretty dang tight to get the new ones to both crush (one on each end of the banjo bolt). Well over the above spec'd 23 ft/lbs. I didnt feel the banjo bolt twist at all though. It held up to a day on the trail with a lot of braking....since I have an auto. and no real low range. I drove it 600 miles home too and feel good about the brakeline job. The only complaint I had was that the lines I got didnt come with the retainer clips for the rear lines...I had to rig something up. No biggie but those are pretty important IMHO.

The fitting on the hard line on the pass. rear was stubborn too....always feel like Im going to snap those things.
