Default Help, What is this and where does it go?

Hello,
While doing maintenance on my JK, I found this tube disconnected and laying on one of my cats. The tip was melted from laying on the cat. Does anyone know where this is supposed to go? It begins at the top of the transmission (auto). Hopefully the pictures will help identify what it is. It was hanging down on the passenger side of the jeep. I just tied it up as high as I could assumming it is some sort of vent.
Thanks for the help in advance, below are the pics.
Steve

that's funny right there

I'd make sure that breather cap is still passing air, it looks like you melted it on the vent end.

Thanks for the replies (the funny ones too),
I'll treat it as a vent tube, tie it up high and ensure it breathes.

Since you have easy access to it now, you might want to extend it and get it up higher. No worries though if you don't get into water....
