I'm going to try to get this sorted out tomorrow evening.

I'll definitely go over the intake closely to try and find any cracks or other damage.

Good to know; I'll check the exhaust out as well.

So last night I replaced the serpentine belt and engine idle pulley. The idle pulley had some debris wrapped around it. I also double checked the intake hose for any cracks and cleaned all the mating surfaces.

Unfortunately, the sound was still there this morning. Tomorrow I'll check all the vacuum lines to make sure they're ok.

I doubt this is the case, but as I mentioned with mine, it was the tensioner pulley that was causing my noise, not the idle pulley. they are the exact same pulley so you could probably just take your old idle pulley and subsitutie it for the tensioner to see if that helps...but it sounds like you may have a different problem

Ahh, I meant the tensioner pulley in my last post; that was the one that I replaced.

I believe that it is the air going accross the throttle plate under load. I have this noise. I put a afe cai and the noise was worse. I then put a new throttle body on and i couldn't stand it, was worse than ever. Took off the cai and now it is better but stll there.

So, any new news on this mysterious whistle noise? I landed here after a search, since I have a very similar noise that I've been chasing, and I sure was hoping to see a solution! I do have the Banks Ram-Air CAI, Magnaflow exhaust, and my noise seems to be intake related too, and I'd really like to make it go away. Especially with the roof down and doors off, and the fact I have no inner-fender liners you can really hear every odd noise under the hood...

I have to beleive this is related to the throttle body. I have the same issue. I only noticed it after I pulled and cleaned the throttle body last week. Maybe it was there before, but wasn't as noticable. I too have a CAI but have had it on for 6 months now. I don't see any damage to the TB gasket, but it looks like I will be replacing it as my next step. Has anyone found the ultimate fix for this yet?
