Question hinge covers

from smittybilt. i have read bed lining and painting them. just wondering if anyone went this route...

Mine lasted about a year before fading, chipping and rusting. Oh Well..
Just sand and prime and rattle can it. I used some flat black paint....Good Enough. I like the looks of the cover but plan on refinishing them.

Someone on here did theirs. they turned out good. Its somewhere in the write up forum.

these are ,,easy solution to upgrade the look...without removing the factory hinges...",so that being said -useless(to get rid off rust...)
