Default Which Hitch

just got a JK Unlimited 2008 - no hitch. So checking around, but the prices vary so much! Most than when I got a 2" hitch for my TJ.

Cheapest I found was a Smitty for AUD$140, but then again there is the full kit for AUD$600

What would you recommend

BTW I am in Australia.

Thanks

Does Quadratec ship to you? They have their brand hitch with harness and cover plug for $75.00. This is the one I have on my 2011. Hitch bolted up easy and the harness was plug and play.

They do, alas their shipping to Australia is $150 :(

At least I can use that as the basis of what to choose. Thanks

I don't know what second-hand sites Australia has, but I bought a stock receiver for my '08 for around 30USD from someone that upgraded their bumper to a model with one built in. Something to think about?

Good thinking, in fact I just did that yesterday and picked up a second hand one for $40 AUD - a bargain!
