Default Hole in muffler?

I'm pretty confident this isn't supposed to be here. (correct me if I'm wrong!)

Is this a big deal? My biggest worry is salt on the way will eat away at this...

Any opinions?

its there on purpose...wouldnt want that moisture settling on the inside of our muffler...

Yea they all have that hole. If you notice water comes out.
