Default Horn Intermittent Sounding

Left the top off on my '07 JK for a few minutes in the rain. Horn sounds intermittently every so many hours. I removed the fuses for the horn, however I want to fix the problem.

Do I need to take it into the shop for repairs because it's some specialty part, or will I be able to trouble shoot and repair on my own?

Appreciate your help.

Yeh, it should be fine just drying out. I did the same thing on mine, but my horn didn't randomly sound, it actually started going off for about 20 minutes straight. Had to pull over cuz I looked like an asshole to everyone I drove by... Haha

Sounds like the clock spring got wet, let it dry out and everything should return to normal.

Thanks! I feel retarded for doing that, but hopefully everything will be better with a little sun-drying. Take it easy out there.

I've been having the same issue... Sitting at a stop light and it just starts blowing... old guy crossing the street just looked at me like what an a-hole... then it did it while going thru a tunnel... sure everyone loved that... everything was dry & I just unhooked the wires from the horn. any idea on how to replace the clock spring?
