Default How do I know if I have trac-lock?

I apologize if this has been answered,... I ran some searches and could not find one.

I bought a used JK and don't have the original window sticker. How might I know if I have the trac-lock rear? (without dropping the inspection cover!)

x2 - take the vin to the dealer - they can print all features and options on that specific jeep (axles, transmission, lockers, (open, trac-lok etc.) and all other options that were ordered on that vehicle.

It's Free too!

That would be a negative. It is an option. At least on the 2007 it was. I quit caring after they came out with chrome bumper panels and TPMS - then eliminated 4:10's from the Towing Pkg,

Cant you jack up the rear and spin one wheel and if the other spins the same direction then you have a Trac Lok?

Hold up! I have 4.10's in this thing?!! (That is, it has a factory tow package)

I had borrowed my uncles '08 Rubicon for a weekend.. and I got a feel for those gears. I would have sworn (by feel) I had...or have, 3.73's in my Sahara...

yep...jack up the rear and spin one wheel, if the other wheel spins the same way you have trac lok...if it spins the opposite direction you have a regular open axle.
