No clue how to calculate the ratio like that but I would ask what did you order?

Looking at the sheet that came with my X, it comes with a 3.21 standard but I ordered the Tow Group package which inlcuded a 3.73.

best thing to do is check the window sticker. Gear ratio is correct in Seir post. Make sure the window sticker states the tow group package then you know you have the 3.73 gears. If it is a dealer add on (tow hitch) I doubt they changed the gears.

Exactly. Stock X with no tow package 3.21. Tow package comes with 3.73. (as factory tow package that is.)

Write down your VIN number and go down to or call you local Jeep dealer's service department and ask them to run a function 14 with list of vehicle options. This will tell you everything you will ever want to know about your jeep.

Can you not also crawl under and look at the tag on on the diff cover? My TJ had a tag there, I haven't thought to check the JK...

According to the gear calculator I use, with a six speed and the stock 255/75R17 tires the RPMs are as follows for 60 mph in 5th gear

3.21 = 2,019 rpm
3.73 = 2,346 rpm
4.10 = 2,578 rpm

I believe 2008 Rubi's have the 3.73s in the US if you bought it in The UEE it could very well have the 4.10s but no 3.21s
