You start by grabbing your two AC vents on the center dash there, then them and pull them out.

Then you get a flat screwdriver, go to the compass part of the dash (right below the rear view mirror) and pop that off, then you can get access to a couple screw that will lossen the top of the center dash.

Then go to the bottom of the center section of the dash (below where the ESP button is) and you can pop the bottom off. Then being gentle you can pop off some other areas in the center of the dash (clips are behind the AC controls I think).

That should let you pull the center dash part out or at lest I think that's what it takes as I'm sitting here in the office....

I would suggest using trim sticks and not screwdrivers.. the interior pieces on the jeeps scratch EXTREMELY easily as well as dent.. since you are doing an interior mod you want to keep it nice...

the air conditioning vents turn before they come out.. the vent ring and all comes out as 1 piece.. the rings can be separated from the vent body if you are going to paint those...

Get some panel pry bars from Harbor Freight-- about $6 for the set if I remember right-- really makes "popping" the panels easy and does not mar the dash.
