how to find what gears are on jeep
Your rear yoke should spin 4.1 times around for one full turn of your tire. Or you can check the dif cover for the gearing tag. But I would jack that baby up mark your tire and your rear yoke make sure the dealer didn't pull a fast one .
ownersite@jeep.com You will need to register your vehicle by setting up an account (you'll need your vin#) but from there you can find your "build sheet" and everything that is done to it by Jeep.
I tried. but couldnt register coz im not in the USA, hope some1 can check it up for me, VIN # 1C4BJWAG5CL190854

Not true as of 2012. The Rubicons with 6 speed manuals do come standard with 4.10. the Rubicon with 5 speed auto come standard with 3.73 and a option for 4.10.
Thats something that they slid by in the fine print. The final drive in low will feel about the same in the autos from 2011 with 4.10 and 2012 with 3.73 as they spaced out the gearing a bit after adding a gear in 2012.
That enabled them to get a bit lower gearing and a bit higher gearing. This is possible because of the added hp and helps get another mpg out of it. This looks good for the avearge mpg for the wrangler brand. I went with the manual to get the lowest possible gearing. The thing Rocks. And when I get 35"s on it the 1st gear wont wind out so dang quick.
I am sure some one is going to buy a rubi with auto, get home, and go what the heck, where are my 4.10's.
I got home and dropped the creeper to do a inspection on the undercarriage. And said "what the HELL where are the fricken skid plates." My '03 came fully ready.
Yes thats about the only thing I am bitter about.

So I order a 2012 rubi on jan17th. I kept telling the dealership to make sure it had the 4.10s in it since I got an auto. Well it's in transit to them now and I looked at the window sticker online but it doesn't say it anywhere...does anyone know where else I can look or will it be on the hard copy when they get the jeep?
