4 door Freedom top front panels are 15 lbs. each; the rear 95 lbs. I remove mine with the help of my 12 year old son and a couple of his friends.

I must have a weakling of a girlfriend because she struggled like hell to help me get my hard top off. Maybe I didn't have the technique down properly (and if there's a good thread on it let me know). Back to my story, she damn near dropped it, I had to get under it and essentially press it over my head. That wasn't so bad, but attempting to move and or see without throwing it off balance was a real pain. Personally, I'd suggest having a full size adult male help or at least a pretty good sized male teen/child. Oh and a girlfriend who doesn't shriek when the top sways a bit and immediately pushes down hard on the side that sways, causing you to almost topple over and bust not only your ass but your freedom top. lol Thank goodness she's got really big boobs.

I took mine off today for the first time. Wife and 11 year old son helped. Wasnt too bad, but was bulky. My advice after doing it:

1. Wear gloves. I sliced my hand pretty bad on the fiberglass edge at the curve of the inside rear door. Dripped blood accross the garage. Ouch.

2. Follow the simple steps in the manual. Its really easy to undo everything.

3. Lift the back glass up and close the back gate. Lift the top from both sidesand walk back until you clear the Jeep, then go set it down softly where you plan to store it.

That's about it.

I forgot to mention how much I love the topless look of the unlimited. I didn't think I could love this Jeep any more! It is fantastic!

This pic is the first time I had the top off on Memorial Day weekend. I had it off again the past few days. Got rained in this morning, had the top back on tonite before the really heavy rain came.
