How long do the stock GSA tires last?

Default 07 stock tires

OK, I just rolled 75,000 on my 07 stock tires. It is now time to replace them. Good thing is I bought 5 stocks on rims brand new for $200.00 so it is an easy fix.

If you want an excuse to the problem disconnect your sway bars and then go wheeling. It will pop both tires rather quickly and you have an excuse to upgrade

Ask me how I know

Actually, the GSA's show fairly good reviews on a few sites, such as 4X4.com, 4WD.com and also Tire Rack.
I've had the OEM 245x16 Wrangler GSA's on the wifes 07 JK Unlimited for almost 30K now and they are still in great shape. I do rotate them every 6K miles, using 5 tire rotation. In my opinion, they have good traction in dry, wet and snow conditions, and are fairly quiet. By the looks of the tread, we'll most likely get another 20-30K out of them. Being this is the wife's JK, it hardly ever goes off-road, so my opinion about the tires is strictly on-road conditions.

I have 44K on my stock Goodyear SR-A's. Still a fair amount of tread on them. My wife says she's doing the best she can to wear them out so we can put some 35's on it. She's the best.

I got 44k, but I rotate my spare in.

If you do not intend on upgrading the tires, I suggest you buy an extra set - You get the rims and tires, TMPS and they are balanced already for the price of 2 SR-A's.

<- more money for this!

And you can wheel in SR-A's, just bring plenty of when your fellow Jeepers winch you out!

Yeah - I'm in the same boat.

I wonder if I can increase my MPG and decrease my tire life by inflating the tires close to the max psi...

Absolutely. I popped my first one this weekend. Wasn't too hard. Looking to upgrade now.
