Default humming noise

Ok, So as I've stated before I'm a noob to the jeep world. when I shut off the jeep a few seconds after the engine stops I hear a strange hum noise. . . . it's the same everytime. I don't think it's anything wrong with the jeep. . . . I'm just curious as to what it is. . . . if it matters it's a 2009 JKU Saharah.

Thanks
Larry

It's normal, they all do it. I've heard it has something to do with the ESP components (roll mitigation) in the computer... gyro's winding down is what I think it was

Edit - Do an advanced search using key words like "Buzz on shut down" and you will see several threads asking the same question. Not sure the answer was ever found.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! It didn't sound like a "something's wrong" sound so I wasn't worried. . . .but I am an engineer so I was really really really really curious!

Thanks!
