hybrid top?
I am looking for a simple curtain and deck cover for my 2 door JK.
Is it possible to use the factory freedom top sun bonnet panels, remove the rear part and have some way to block off the cab of the jeep and cover the deck?
Or are you required to have a soft top?
What I want is the flexibility of going topless anytime but do not want to lug around the rear hard top by myself. And I want to be protected from rain if there's a sudden downpour. I live alone and this is the only option I have. If I was home, I would use the hardtop hoist in my father's garage.

wind jammer = cab curtain. And duster cover = deck cover.
That's what I was thinking for use with the hard top. But... there seems to be a little gap behind the seats where rain could get in?

I could have sworn someone here on the forum had mentioned about taking the bestop windjammer and having it extended instead of having that gap and it still wouldn't be 100% water or weather proof but it would do a whole lot better than the way it currently sits on the jk's.
I am about to pull the trigger on the deck cover and cab curtain. But I would like to see a 2 door with the front 2 freedom top panels in with the bestop cover and curtain on, so I can see what I like.
(I do not have the soft top, so I will steal my Dad's soft top tailgate bar lol)

Not saying this is going to work for you, but since you have the 2-door, check out the Wraparound Windjammer (the Windjammer is a different product and much more open to the weather). The Wraparound Windjammer requires use of a Soundbar Cap, as well as the Duster. Again, not saying this will work for you--haven't seen anyone try this combo out with the Freedom Top panels (BTW: The Sunbonnet is Mopar's version of the safari top--it's a fabric top, not a hardtop panel). Also, the Wraparound Windjammer attaches to the door rails. If you don't have those, you will need them. And they may not be compatible with your Freedom Top panels.

I am well aware of that Mark. That is why I wanted to see a picture of the standard stuff. Right now, I just want the Jeep to be using the hard top front panels with a curtain cover and deck cover. If it rains, I can deal with the miniscule amount of water that gets in.
