I bought a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and I am not sure if I have LSD. I asked the dealer and they couldn't tell me or they were to lazy to check. some of the option I read on the sticker confused me wich lead me to ask this question

Does anyone know if thats standard on the sahara?

 

i don't believe so because I was looking at buying a 2011 sahara and it didn't have it but it was only a 2 door... not sure if that matters.

 

Just jack up the rear end at the pumpkin so both rear tires are off the ground. Now with tranny in neutral spin one of the tires and if the other one goes in the other direction then it is open and if it goes in the same direction then it is lsd.

I wish my '08 Sahara had a LSD. Either would be happy

 

No you don't because you would end up putting a locker in it anyway.

 

I thought about lockers but I dont want to void the warranty. any thougts

 

I'm keeping lsd in the rear and locking the front. Lsd isn't that bad

 

No it's not standard. For a 2011 Sahara the Trac-Lok LSD was a 295 add on.
Yes the dealer is lazy. Could have run a carfax on the vin and gotten the options.
If there's no immediate need you can get the infor from Chrsyler in addition to the method described earlier.

 

Same thought here. Replace the 30 with a locked 44 and all set.
