i had an experience tonight that started off bad and ended great!
So, as Im headed home from work I feel a little more slop in my ride than normal. I start thinking maybe its my springs settling in a little more as I just changed them 2500 miles ago. I go to pull into the gas station to go get some food and when I turn and hit the brakes.... the jeep dives to the left and I feel a rough vibration. Im think hell this can't be good. So I immediately stop and get out. My sway bar link on the drivers side is out of position and laying towards the front of my jeep. The dang bolt is nowhere to be found. So I check the other side, its got a little play.
I think well ill match a bolt to the link at lowes. Go there find a lock bolt for both sides and go back home(used a friends car). Get back home put it all back together and what do you know drives better Than ive ever had it ride. So turns out that it must have happened for a reason. Im just glad nothing else was harmed! Cost me all of 1.06 to fix it all. Whew.
Reminder... check you sway bar link bolts. How mine were loose I don't know but the ride difference is crazy.
