Mothers back to black will take that off. Tire shine too, but I don't recommend using it on your flares. Go pickup some mothers.

Also forgot to mention, "forever black" for plastic trim works great. I use it all the time after I wax once or twice a year. You can get it off ebay. It only takes minutes to touch up a whole fender flare.
I also use it on any faded black plastic parts inside the jeep too.

Back to black and dishwasher soap have already been tried and did not work for me. Not to say they didnt take any off, but they left quite a bit behind. Ill keep trying. My combination of back to black, dishwasher soap, lawn furniture cleaner and simple green took most all off the fender i tested them on. But each took them off a tad at a time. I'll keep at it and post what worked best for me.

Try a product sold by griots garage called "dried on wax remover". I have not used this product, but I am obsessive with auto detailing and griots products never let me down. They have a website and all of their products are proprietary to them.

I actually saw that. If this other that I ordered doesn't work well I'll try some of it.

I tried going over it with Ice and it helped a little but its still noticeable. Any suggestions?
I sprayed mine down with the wrong stuff this past week, wife had called while in the middle of spray waxing and I set the bottle down, she told me she was headed home from work and thought she was going in to labor, so me being me figured I had just enuff time to finish but I didnt relize I had picked up the bottle of weed killer instead, good news is My Jeep wont get any dandilions , and I now am a proud pappa.

Just wanted to update this thread. I found some stuff, Duragloss 481 Wax Eraser. It said it was specifically made to "Removes chalky wax and polish residue from textured surfaces". It worked like a charm. So easy, the bottle even has its own built in applicator sponge. Found the worst spot of wax on the fenders and with one swipe of this stuff it was completely gone. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
