x2 on Tuffy, sub still sounds as good as it did stock (oddly) and no issues with the soft top. Honestly I love this thing so much I can't believe it didn't come as a factory option. How else would I get my kids pictures home from school with the top and doors off? They would blow around everywhere

Try to ignore the price and just get the Tuffy, while your at it get the Woods tailgate strut, yet another item that should have come from the factory.

You have to remove the front panel of the Tuffy enclosure if you want to load things through with the rear seats down. It requires removing 4 oversized thumb screws, no tools needed and very easy to do. A really nice piece of kit, I wouldn't have a soft top without it.

there are some thumb screws that you can loosen on the panel that sits right behing the back seats. remove those, then that panel comes out and you can load through like you were asking.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but: Can you give more info on this set-up? Just a name will do. Something I have been looking into.

Thanks!

another vote for the tuffy security enclosure - i've had mine for a few weeks now and love it. i also think the sub sounds better with it and love the convenience of being able to just throw stuff in there and not have to worry too much about it - ie had some stuff with me in the car and realized i needed to stop at the store on the way home. no problem to just put the stuff in the "truck" and run into the store. wound up being in there for 30 minutes and got a bunch more stuff and then stopped again at another store before getting home.

btw, installation is a breeze using wayoflife's write up in the write up section, took me less than an hour.

there are commercial methodes to do it... like accutracking / ublip, etc I wrote a J2ME app for a nextel / boost phone and it sends the data to my server.....

I also built a micro controller board that detects if the app hangs or the phone dies and power cycles the phone.... works great... will drain the car battery after a while...

im sure there are much better ways to do it now.. but i built the original back in 2003 and modded it in 2005.. (back then no one was GPS tracking anything really so it was kind of a cool-geek-factor thing too
