It is fairly simple once you have seen it done.

Look for you tube videos like this one:

If you have never installed yours before and it is totally sitting outside of your jeep you have to do a few things.

First check and make sure you have the 2 brackets on the rear roll bar (1 on each side). Second put on your door surrounds. They line up pretty easy you just have to figure out the zigsaw puzzle (they vary depending on year and 2 door vs 4 door).

Then lift the folded top onto the rear and use a torx 30 to bolt the top onto the 2 rear brackets on the rollbar.

Then lift the top up (standing in the jeep is easiest) but only half unfold it and click the locks in top channel for the sunrider potion of the jeep (mine is an 11 softtop for a 4 door and the locks are sort of by the middle of the rear doors).

Get back out of the jeep and go to the rear of the jeep. Then pull the rear corners down and attach them to the jeep. They have an edge that slips under some molding on the jeep body.

Then go back to the front inside of your jeep and finish unfolding the softtop and attach the header bar to the top of the windsheild. You need to move the sun shades to attach them. (It may be tight so let the jeep sit in the sun for 15 minutes to loosen up the top material).

Now the top is on and the windows need to go in. The side windows are complicated. Start the zipper on top about an inch. Then open the door and fold the side channel in. Next put the bottom edge under the molding. Then finish closing the zipper. Lastly just smooth out the velco. Repeat with the other side.

The rear window is simple. Open the rear tailgate. Zip it into the softtop. Next slide on the rear brackets onto the jeep body (one on each side of the body, next to the ends of the tailgate). Then slide the rear bar onto the lip of the rear window. Then snap the bar into the brackets. Make sure it fits flat, then close the tailgate. Now you are done.

No leave the padding on. My top may be a bit different, because it is a 2011 model. But I have 3 screws on each side. A long ones for the front and rear and a stubby one for the middle. The middle one bolts the front and rear together.

Here are a mix of pictures. One has both the surrounds bolted in. One had the rear with rear surround next to the where it belongs. One is the front without a surround. One is with the front surround put on, but the bolts sitting on top.

Sorry for jumping in here but might help as well? When you guys put the softop all the way down is there some place to secure the side rails? I know on the 2 door there is a slot for the velcro , but on a 4 door what do you guys do? Thanks Any pics at all might also help

I just leave mine. I have the velco, but I thought they were for the top when it is in the sunrider position. Either way I never use the velco.

If I am keeping the softtop down for a while I have a boot I put on it. That just keeps it looking nicer and maybe keeps some dirt off of it.

I never used the velcro straps before either, the weight holds it down fine. and I have dual tops, so having to remove the screw/nut adapter in the slot for the velcro is a pain.
