Default Installing Stock Side Steps

I purchased some new side steps for my JK sport. They are the production side steps from the Sahara model.

I have heard they are just bolt on and are pretty easy to install?

Any tips, instructions, or advice for installing them!?

Thanks for any help guys!

I have the Mopar Extended rock rails, so would imagine that they bolt up the same. But if I remember correctly, there are 3 or 4 bolts on the rails themselves that slide right in to the holes in the body pinch seam. Then there are 6 to 8 bolts that you'll have to run underneath on each side. Shouldn't take more than an hour doing it by yourself. Good Luck!

You'll be able to see which holes line up when you lay them next to the Jeep. Everything lines up and the the steps bolt on with no problems.

I did mine alone, but would be nice to have an extra hand to help hold them up.

Did you get the hardware too?
The 2 door has 4 nuts on each side through the pinch seem and two bolts trough the rail. Very easy to do.

I am assuming the new ones have hardware included, I will find out when I pick them up from the dealership today.

I guess i will lure the roomate to the garage with the promise of beer to help hold them. I think i can handle bolts, lol.

Not to sound like an idiot, but not sure what pinch seams ect. are, but assume its part of the frame?

The pinch seem is the very bottom of the body. (where the inner and outer sheet metal is 'pinched' together.
And if you are buying the Sahara Steps new, they should come with the hardware
