instrument panel cover removal???

Default instrument panel cover removal???

does anyone know what steps i need to take to remove the clear instrument panel cover?? and if the plastic surroundings under there pop out?? i'm wanting to paint them red to go w/ my dash upgrd i did, but i dont want to screw anything up in the process....thanks

I haven't had the clear panel off. But I've had everything else off. To get the top piece off you have to remove the bottom panels first. the lowest one pops out. The next one unscrews with hex heads. The top one then comes out. You will have access to the plastic one from there. I'm trying to remember what it looked like. I believe that the plast pops off with a series of clips on the outside edge.

Just follow the directions from the hardtop wiring harness install (dash section) easy and only takes about 10 minutes to pull the dash.
