Default Interior Squeaking Fixed.......FINALLY!

I feel sorry for JK owners who do NOT know about his site. I can't say how much I am thankful to be a part of this forum.

Seen a thread about "crackling noise" in interior so I started reading. I understand that it could be a lot of things. Freedom top, firewall, heat shield etc....but I read where the bolts at the top of the windshield come loose due to stress on the trailing and daily driving. I was driving last night and reached up to check the bolt and that thing was so loose I could turn it with my fingers. Went out this morning tightened both sides and VIOLA.....no squeezing.

I would suggest everybody just go ahead and tighten those if you haven't checked them lately. THANKS GUYS!

Old thread but does anyone know where the bolts at "the top of the windshield" are?
