Default Intermittent wipers do not work, help? (2007)

I've not been able to figure out this problem. My intermittent wipers do not work, if you turn the knob at all it acts as if it's on the second to full speed setting.

so basically the normal function for wipers is like this:
intermittent slowest
intermittent faster 1
intermittent faster 2
intermittent faster 3
intermittent faster 4
Faster no pause
Fastest

however mine are like this:
Faster no pause
Faster no pause
Faster no pause
Faster no pause
Faster no pause
Faster no pause
Fastest

Now, I've done 2 things already to try and fix it, but they will not work properly no matter what I do.

I've replaced the switch on the steering column because I thought that might be the culprit, but it wasn't, and then I tried this:
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-w...er-fix-115037/

Furthermore, if you turn off the wipers it'll stop right where they set, instead of finishing and resetting into their resting position, and if you press the handle down (to do one wiping sweep), then it'll only move the wipers as long as you've held it down, this means that if you tap the handle down it will instead move the wipers about 1/3 of the way up the windshield and stop instead of finishing one cycle of wiping.

Are there any other possible ways to fix this? Living in Oregon, it's pretty vital for the wipers to be in working order.

I'm having issues like this. But it started about two years ago. It only does it when it's cold. They will stop when they want to. If its on the slowest intermittent it will go five times then wait one minute. Normal setting is is fine and fast is fine. I was thinking about changing out the relay to see if that does anything.

Sounds like an electrical problem. You might re-post in the Electrical section.

Considering what you've tried already, it seems it may be the motor itself.

Good luck. Wipers are definitely vital to safety.

Your wiper motor needs to be replaced. Had this exact same issue on my '07.

Bah! Irritating!

Does anyone have a link to where I should get one from? Also if I look online should I possibly look for an 08+ motor? Since this seems to only happen to 07 wiper motors..

You can check the "usual places"

I looked at Advance Auto parts. They have re-manufactured Cardone wiper motors #40-458 for about $45.

New ones appear to run about twice that. The part number for my 2008 is 68002388AA.

I have to think 07-10 or 11 are likely the same. You might want to call a dealer for the part number and quote.

good luck

Try cleaning the worm gear I had the same problem last year read a post on here with instructions on how to do it. It takes maybe 20 mins, haven't had a problem since.
