Its been 1 week now that i have switch to 5w30 synthetic. I'm tired of adding 1 quart of 5w20 oil every 3000miles. I wanna see if the 5w30 will be at the same level when i check the dipstick.

I have been using 5-30w ever since I brought it home. I only loose about half a quart every 5000 miles. Fully synthetic.

 

Mobil 1 5W-20, changed the factory fill at 1,151 miles and every 5000 since. 19,500+ and have the oil and filter for the 21,000 mile change in hand. Haven't lost a drop of oil yet, knock wood.

 

I change my 5W20 Mobil 1 every 5K miles in the JK. It's the same interval I used with my 2000 Dakota, 2001 Daktoa, 2003 Ram and 2006 Ram. My '66 Charger takes straight weight 40 when I take her out in the Spring and my '84 944 had to have 15W50 & a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer each Spring (even though she only had 85K miles).

 

I use Havoline 5-20 and Fram filter every 3K since the day I got.
