Default Jack for maintenance

So, I was going to rotate my tires over the weekend, and my hydraulic jack could not even reach the axle.
What jack do you use for maintenance? I currently don’t have a lift and stock wheels/tires but I plan on going to 35's down the road.
What do you use?
I plan on getting a jack and jack stands
Thanks!

Go to harbor freight and pick up a 3 or 4 ton jack. Measure ground to jack point and make sure it will lift the jeep high enough in order to get jack stands under there. Sorry i cant remember the brand i have but it's a 3 ton jack and i have four 3 ton jackstands.

Right now Harbor Freight has a heavy duty 3 ton quick pump jack that goes 6-18" for $89.99 and 3 ton jack stands for $24.99. Periodically they have really good sales where the prices can drop up to 25%.

Ask for a January HF 25% off coupon at the register.

I bought the 3 ton aluminum jack for $120 with the coupon.

Works awsome, lifts the whole rear eand so I can drop stands under each side.
Get some really tall jack stands too! takes a lot to droop the axle on these things.

Ya I can vouch for that. I did my 2.5" RC lift last week and ended up having to make platforms just for my 2 ton jack and 2 ton jackstands to stand on.

A small piece of a wood block between the jack and the pumpkin helps fill the gap to. I have a chunk of pressure treated 4x4 i keep with my 2 1/2 ton floor jack. Works for me with 33s. Then I have tall 3 ton stands to support.

I use the scissor jack that came with the Jeep on top off the AEV jack base. Works great for tire rotations and even installed my lift with it.

Sorry guys to bump the thread up but does anyone got pics of where to put your hydraulic jack on the axles? Also, any risk of damaging the pumpkin by lifting the Jeep with it?

I use the dif in the rear with a 2x4 in between the jack and the dif just to avoid metal on metal and have never had any problems. Up front i usually just use the LCA mounts again with the 2x4 in between. lifting from the dif up front is always a pain because it is off centered so it takes to long to get both wheels of the ground… laziness

Having 3.75" of lift, the oe scissor jack with AEV's base works great for me.
