Default Jack Removal?

Anybody tried removing the jack?

It's wedged in there pretty good.
I still haven't got it out.

Everyone might want to rehearse
this before you're stuck somewhere.

This comes up alot. try turning the jackscrew counterclockwise to lower the jack, then pull it out. It is slid into the hole and raised slightly to lock it in place.

Your welcome. Hope that is all it was. It took me a bit to figure it out myself.

had an old subaru that had work done to it once and the blithering genius who put in the rubberized body sealer sealed my jack to the body.

Well that was my stupid question for the week.

It worked perfectly Happy.

I should have stumbled on that solution myself,
but I was too busy trying to force it loose.

Duh!

Thanks for the save.

haha this same thing happened to me. I pulled over to help a lady on the side of the road with a flat tire, and she didnt have a jack. I went to pull mine out and couldnt. I could not figure this thing out at all. I ended up just leaving when she said she was gonna just call her husband for help. haha I felt like a real idiot. (and still do) A couple turns of the screw with my fingers though after asking about it on here and whala! it comes right out! Who woulda thought!?

I know after ya figure this one out you kinda feel like kicking yourself (at least i know i did)... but i really think that in the Manual, instead of 487.2 pages of how to work the radio, they coulda thrown in one sentence about something useful, like removing the jack from storage for instance.

LOL! I pulled so hard, then ended up bending the metal a little, and it came out! Then after that, I was like, wait a second! This thing turns and goes down more. Well, lets say putting it back in was a lot easier than taking it out

+ 1,000,000

I'd love to get my hands around the neck of the idiots who decided to wedge the jack in like that. I just spent a half hour trying to pry it out of there and decided to log on here to see if I could find the answer. It seems obvious now, but apparently it isn't intuitive to everyone.

Nice communication between the engineers/assemblers/tech writers. Flippin' idiots.

I had the opposite problem on my Magnum. I couldn't get it back in.
