Only colors I liked in '08 were Rescue Green, Steel Blue, and Jeep Green.

In the '09 brochure it lists "Deep Water Blue Pearl" and "Jeep Green Metallic" but no idea how the Rescue Green and Slate Blue were much different?

A dealership in Denver assures me that they can get one ordered and delivered within 6 weeks, probably closer to 4. I told them to make triple sure that its Jeep Green Metallic before they email me back.

I guess I need to decide on a good 2nd choice color - I hate red, cant stand the orange and don't want white, black will show too many scratches from off roading so that leaves us with:

Detonator Yellow

Bright Silver Metallic
Deep Water Blue Pearl

I'm kind of afraid the blue will show too many scratches as well

Any suggestions from the forum?

Deep water pearl blue is purty but on a Jeep its a little blingy.

I totally agree. Have always had a soft spot for Navy/Dark Blue though. I just cant get my mind past the fact that the dark color (much like Black) will just scream scratches when (not if) they come.

Detonator Yellow? Would have to wash it a lot, they look odd when dirty.

Bright Silver? Kinda bland in my eyes. This coming from someone who owns 2 white vehicles

What about the Red Rock crystal? They look good in that. Better than the yellow, blue, or silver at least IMO.

If you really want a Jeep Green, I'll trade you my 07 X for a new rubi in one of those colors

I'm surprised they have dropped it, seems to be popular (at least on here), wonder what the sales are like for the gen-pop. Maybe they will replace it with a more accurate military green.

Not a fan of red, even if it's a deep red. And I'll keep ya posted about a trade

Default No Green

My new 09 is black. I remember saying I would never have a black vehicle. Then my wife wanted her new car black. It really looked sharp so I bought my motorcycle in black. They looked great together and I went and bought my JK in black. It looks great but would show scratches bad. From never to three, go figure.

My 94 YJ was Forrest Green with the tan "camel" hard top, it looked great. I didn't really consider my JK in green since it was a lighter green than my YJ that I loved and I didn't like the looks of the brown top, it is definitely not tan, and I didn't like the black top as well with the green.

Hope you find a color you can enjoy. I just can't imagine a Jeep lineup without green. Like PB&J without the J.
